Why PKR?

We all know that there are a lot of online poker rooms that you could play at, but PKR is by far and away my favourite site mainly so I thought I’d try to make a top 10 list to explain why PKR stands out so well from the crowd.

The 3D Look

I know it’s an obvious place to start, but no other poker room on the internet gets close to PKR when you’re talking about software graphics. They’re just amazing. The locations you’ll play in look stunning and the various view options available to the player means that you can immerse yourself in the game you’re playing far more than you can at any other poker room.

The Interaction

Being able to react to what has just happened on the table is a huge step forward in online poker as far as I’m concerned.

Want to laugh at an opponent for calling you? Or perhaps you’d rather call them a chicken for folding? Well you can do either, along with a LOAD of other possibilities – it’s a brilliant way to really get involved in the game that you’re playing.

What’s more for those of you who have developed your game sufficiently, these kind of reactions mean that PKR is probably the only room on the netw where you can genuinely pick up a tell based on how your opponents react as opposed to purely relying on their betting patterns.

No more static avatars!

The amount of customisation options that PKR offer their players are brilliant. No longer do you have to hide between a static avatar when you play your poker. Want to play the game wearing a suit, sporting a new hairstyle Or listening to an iPod? It’s easily done. You can even teach your character chip tricks to perform at the table.

The bonus

The PKR bonus codes are some of the largest in online poker, and what’s even better news is that no matter how good you are at poker, you’ll still get a good reward when you make your first deposit. Whether you want to deposit $20 or $2000, you’ll still get a good match bonus!

What’s more PKR are very good at giving out reload bonuses to those players who have already registered for them, so even those players who have already made a deposit can still get their hands on some free cash!

The tournaments

When PKR first launched, it was accused of being slightly gimicky and not offering any real value to the experienced poker player because their tournament schedule was so poor.

Well, that can’t be leveled at them anymore. PKR have really been working on their tournaments and it really shows. The tournament variety and the prize money on offer (thousands of dollars every week!) is arguably a lot stronger now than many of PKR’s more established rivals.

The loyalty program

All poker sites now offer some kind of loyalty program to their players. The pure flexibility of the site though means that the PKR points that you earn can be spent in a load of unique ways.

PKR have just re-designed their website to really focus on the PKR community – and it has really worked.

You can now easily find those tables that your friends are playing at and you can make new friends in the PKR forums which seem to always be busy. On top of that PKR also have their own TV channel and a quarterly magazine that gets sent out to their members.
