PKR action to be broadcast on PokerNews

The PKR Heads-Up Grand Slam seems to have attracted major attention across the pond with top news website Pokernews.com promising to keep their readers updated with all of the action.

The inaugural Grand Slam tournaments starts tomorrow in London featuring some of the biggest names in the game such as Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak and Peter Eastgate.

The initial draw has thrown up some mouth-watering fixtures which include Tom Dwan taking on WSOP runner up John Duthie and Dave “The Devilfish” Ulliott playing his part in an all British tie with John Tabbatabai.

“There are some electric first round matches,” Tournament Director Eddie Hearn said “and, as the tournament progresses, the possible quarter-final and semi-final clashes may bring together some much-anticipated clashes.”

“Europe has been waiting for a major heads up tournament and the PKR Heads Up Grand Slam is a groundbreaking format with a stunning line-up,”

32 players will be participating in the tournament with four online qualifiers being provided by PKR.com. The action will be filmed in front of a live audience and broadcast on PKR TV with Kara Scott and Jesse May providing the commentary.
