PKR TV

Why restrict yourself to playing poker just on the internet when you can show off your moves on the television too? Well the good news is that you can now get your poker skills broadcast across Europe because PKR have launched their own TV channel!

I stumbled across it last night (it runs seven days a week on satellite TV), and it’s actually really cool. It runs from 20.00-23.00 GMT and you get to watch a load of people you may well have played against going through the final stages of some of PKR’s biggest tournaments.

How do you get on PKR TV?

There are basically three ways to appear on television:

  • Enter the $10,000 Guaranteed ‘TV Tournament’ which runs every Thursday at 20.30GMT
  • Register for the TV Showdown Tournament every Saturday at 19.00GMT
  • If those tournaments are a little expensive for you, get your name down for one of the satellites that run throughout the week. You can enter them for as little as $4 or 500 player points

Win a shot at $100,000 for free:

PKR have now started giving away $250 Masters tickets to those players who make the episode’s “Play of the Game.”

Every episode, the PKR TV commentary team will decide which daring, bold and well thought out move they liked best and award that player a seat in the monthly Masters tournament.

You don’t have to win the tournament (or even the hand!) to be in with a chance of picking up the Masters ticket. You just have to show a bit of bravery and intelligence, and you could be awarded your free shot at a Guaranteed $100,000 prize pool.

What channel is PKR TV on?
