Poker in the Park hailed as a success

PKR have hailed last weekend’s Poker in the Park event an “unparalleled success” with their PKR Poker Dome attracting thousands of players from all over the country.

The event took place in Leicester Square, London on 13th and 14th August and involved eleven UK Pub Poker leagues squaring off against each other with the winners walking off a series of beautifully designed crystal trophies.

Many of PKR’s most well known players turned up to try their luck and Team PKR member Discomonkey continued his current winning streak by coming out on top in the Masters Poker League event.

Team PKR weren’t the only celebrities at the event though. Former WSOP champion Jamie Gold turned up to rub shoulders with fellow poker players Neil Channing, Peter Eastgate and Michael Greco. Liv Boree added a bit of glamour to the evening along with a number of girls from lads mag Nuts who were happily having their pictures taken with the crowd.

Those of you who weren’t able to make it will be able to make it will be able to read a full report on the festival in the next issue of Bluff Magazine.
