PKR celebrate 3rd Birthday with a host of new features



This week is PKR’s third birthday – that’s right, it’s three years ago that PKR opened its doors to the general public and since then they’ve gone on to register an amazing 3 million players and become the fastest growing poker site in Europe. It’s been a pretty phenominal growth.

And how are they celebrating? Well, by trying to push the boundaries of 3D poker further with a host of further improvements to their site. We’ve already spoken about the Paypal functionality that’s now available to all players in the UK, Ireland and Norway but there are a host of other features which are due to be launched shortly.

Cards up tables

If you enjoy watching poker programs on the TV such as High Stakes Poker or the WPT, then you’re going to love the new Cards-Up tables which will shortly be launching on PKR.

On these special tables, your hole cards are shown via an under table camera just as you normally see on the TV. It’s great news for multi-tablers who will now be able to play their games much more easily. To try out this new feature, just have a look out for a new eye shaped icon which will appear next to various games in the PKR lobby.

Video Poker

PKR have increaesed the number of mini games open to players as well. Those of you who have spent any time in Vegas will no doubt be aware of “Jacks or better” – one of the most popular video games over there. Well now it’s available on PKR too. To give it a go, you just need to visit portal –> games –> install –> video poker and get playing.

Vegas facelift

Speaking of the town that never sleeps, the popular Vegas room on PKR has been given a facelift. Graphics are sharper and the background now includes animated slots, flashing lights and some more realistic looking plants.
