A new addition to Team PKR

A new addition to Team PKR

PKR is welcoming a new Pro to their ranks this morning as Frenchman Adrien ‘zlatan35′ Allain becomes the latest member of Team PKR.

The 24 year old player from Rennes has been in scintilating form recently winning a number of tournaments such as the Sunday $30k, The Saturday Big Shot and the Sunday $17k. He also managed to finish sixth in his first live tournament – the PKR Live II.

However, it was his performance at the Asian Poker Tour that took him up another level and brought him to the attention of the poker world in general. He qualified for the Macau Main Main Event via a $5 satellite ticket and went on to win the event picking up a cheque for $391,556 drawing praise from more established players such as JC Tran who admitted Allain “has great potential.”

That’s not bad at all considering that Adrien only started playing the game 18 months ago. However, the frenchman puts his steep learning curve down to an ever growing number of French players in the PKR community:

“We help each other to improve ourselves continuously” he said. “We analyse each others’ hands in order to progress quickly. They always supported me during my final tables and always comforted me in my times of doubt, I owe them a lot and I am very proud of this fellowship.”

Considering his recent success, it’s no real suprise that PKR have looked to add Allain to their professional ranks as they seem to be targetting up and coming players with great potential, and it’s a move that obviously pleases the young Frenchman. This morning he was quoted as saying

“I am very proud to be part Team PKR Pro. Joining this team composed of the best PKR players is a great pleasure. Now I hope we come together to accomplish great results! On a personal note, I know my career will be boosted by this move and I hope it’s the begining of a great adventure. I’ll make sure to give myself the maximum opportunity to achieve great things with PKR and the Team!”

We look forward to following Adrien’s development!
